Cooking Camp
This session of camp your child will have a Chef’s culinary experience all the way! First, we will learn how our food grows and who a Farmer is. Also, the difference between organic and non-organic fruits and veggies. Can you grow or plant a garden in a city? When do farmers harvest corn and apples? Where does our food come from? Each day we will spend the morning cooking and even baking foods of all types. Especially foods that are healthy for our bodies! Your child will chop, grate, mix and blend different recipes during our Cooking Camp session this summer. All of our cooking will follow Pioneer Montessori’s nut-free policy as well as no vanilla extract, no gelatin, no pork, no red die and be fresh.

Art and Literature
Have you ever read a children’s book and wondered how the illustrations were done? Or even how the author is also the illustrator? During Art and Literature sessions your child will explore children’s books by Eric Carle, Ezra Jack Keats, Dr. Seuss, Leo Leoni, and more! We will get our art on by creating our own master pieces using the same techniques that the illustrators did in the books we study.
